We asked her why, and she told us it was obviously a counterfeit. The cashier came back a few minutes later, and told us she couldn't accept the bill. We told her we were still waiting for our change and the rest of our food. After waiting for 5-10 minutes, a different employee came to the window, and asked us what we were waiting on. We handed the cashier the money, she glanced at it for a moment, shut the window, and walked away. That, is until we tried using it the next day. We saw it was from 1977, didn't think anything of it, and forgot about it. We noticed after cashing his check at the bank the day prior that this particular $50 looked different and took a glance at the print date. My fiancé got paid yesterday, so he only had larger bills on him, which left him having to pay with a $50 bill. However, my fiancé's was less than pleasant. The first order (our friend's) went splendidly without any issue. My fiancé and our friend placed two separate orders. Afterwards, we decided to swing by the drive thru for some grub. My fiancé, a friend of ours, and I were enjoying a pleasant evening playing mini-golf and catching up. Okay, this just happened tonight, and I'm still pretty outraged about it and need to rant a little bit.
